Job summary

NextStar Energy in Windsor, Ontario is seeking a highly skilled Operating Engineer to ensure safe and efficient operation of the SRP, water treatment, electrolyte storage and boiler systems. You will coordinate daily operations, support production schedules, and ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities include planning shutdowns, assisting with commissioning, and coordinating with multiple departments to optimize plant performance.

Qualifications

• Certified operating engineer with process plant experience.
• Valid G driver's license required.
• Experience in commissioning or startup of plant systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily plant operations and support production schedules.
• Ensure safety and environmental compliance across plant processes.
• troubleshoot operational issues and implement corrective actions.
• Plan shutdowns, startups, and turnarounds with relevant teams.
• Oversee commissioning activities and review related documentation.
• Maintain coordination between engineering, maintenance and production.
