Job summary

Opticca Consulting Inc. is seeking a highly experienced Senior OpenShift Engineer to design, deploy, secure, operate, and improve enterprise OpenShift environments across on‑prem, hybrid, and cloud platforms.

You will collaborate with application, security, networking, and DevOps teams to deliver resilient container platforms, perform installation, upgrades, automation, and day‑two operations, while mentoring client teams.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of Linux infrastructure experience with OpenShift/Kubernetes in enterprise environments.
• Strong knowledge of OpenShift 4.x releases, operators, Machine Config, and core Kubernetes concepts.
• Deep understanding of Linux, containers, DNS, TLS, load balancing, and software‑defined networking.
• Experience with CSI storage patterns and storage integration.
• Ability to troubleshoot production issues and communicate findings to technical and business stakeholders.
• Proficiency with infrastructure‑as‑code, configuration management, scripting, and CI/CD practices.
• Professional French working proficiency; English required for cross‑team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design production‑grade OpenShift environments across bare metal, virtualized, and cloud platforms.
• Lead or support cluster installation, expansion, upgrades, patching, and DR readiness.
• Engineer highly available control plane, compute, and storage topologies aligned with workload needs.
• Integrate OpenShift with networking, DNS, load balancers, firewalls, registries, and identity providers.
• Configure cluster networking, routes, and security controls; manage certificates and traffic flows.
• Build repeatable deployment and operations workflows with Ansible, GitOps, Terraform, Helm.
• Establish monitoring, logging, and incident response; produce architecture docs and transfer knowledge.
