Job description

Key Responsibilities

1. Ensure all work performed by the team is compliant with Rainy River H&S policies.
2. Supervise and provide guidance to the mine geologists, junior geologists, and technical staff in day-to-day routines.
3. Participate in coaching, mentorship, and evaluation of non-technical staff and geologists.
4. Perform geological analysis and modeling; provide advice on grade/waste control.
5. Prepare technical reports and documentation to ensure compliance with industry and operational requirements.
6. Perform reconciliation analysis between resources, reserves, mine, and mill numbers.
7. Control costs related to mine geology activities.
8. Interact with other technical services members and operations groups to maintain daily production rates and communicate operating guidelines, regulations, and policies.
9. Recommend and contribute to the development of procedures, methods, and policies to improve performance while ensuring compliance with industry regulations and organizational standards.
10. Manage and maintain database integrity and review data quality.
11. Relay information regarding ground control and other geologically related issues.
