Job summary

BDO Canada seeks a Senior Microsoft OneDrive Migration Architect for a minimum 20-week contract to lead a large-scale Microsoft 365 rollout. The role offers flexible hybrid work and can be located anywhere in Canada, focusing on OneDrive for Business, etc.

You will design, plan and execute migration batches, develop PowerShell scripts and ShareGate tooling, and coordinate with client IT teams to ensure a smooth transition with data integrity and post-migration support.

Qualifications

• 7+ years delivering Microsoft 365, OneDrive or enterprise file migration projects.
• Hands-on OneDrive for Business, Known Folder Move and SharePoint Online expertise.
• Experience with Group Policy Objects on Windows 10/11.
• Migration scripts development using ShareGate and PowerShell.
• Strong communication, documentation and stakeholder management.
• Ability to lead technical planning and coordinate with client IT teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical planning and delivery of the OneDrive rollout and legacy mapped drive migration.
• Assess legacy usage, design 200–300 user migration batches for ~2500 users.
• Develop migration scripts and batch-level migration plans.
• Coordinate readiness, execution, validation, reruns and issue resolution with client IT.
• Provide after-hours support during migration activities and ensure data integrity.
• Maintain runbooks, docs and end-user training materials.
