Job summary

BDO Canada is seeking a Senior Microsoft OneDrive Migration Architect for a minimum 20-week contract to support a large-scale Microsoft 365 rollout. The role is a hands-on technical leadership position across OneDrive for Business, Known Folder Move, GPO config, and legacy drive migration for thousands of users.

You will develop migration scripts (ShareGate/PowerShell), coordinate readiness and validation, and work with client IT teams. Hybrid work is available across Canada.

Qualifications

• 7+ years delivering Microsoft 365, OneDrive or enterprise file migration projects.
• Hands-on experience with OneDrive for Business and SharePoint Online.
• Experience using ShareGate and PowerShell scripts for migrations.
• Ability to design migration batches and validate results.
• Strong communication and client-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical planning and delivery of the OneDrive rollout and legacy mapped drive migration.
• Assess legacy drive usage, structures, permissions and design migration batches for 200–300 users (≈2500 total).
• Develop and maintain PowerShell and ShareGate scripts for pre-migration assessment and migration execution.
• Coordinate migration readiness, execution, validation, reruns, troubleshooting with client IT teams.
• Be available after hours and weekends to support migration activities.
• Maintain runbooks, documentation, and post-migration support.
• Gather client requirements and secure stakeholder approvals.
• Maintain alignment between requirements, deliverables, scope and timeline.
