Job summary

Cognitiv, a Vancouver-based AdTech innovator, seeks a Senior Software Engineer for the Attribution & Events team. You will lead design and delivery of large-scale data systems, solving cross-device identity challenges and linking ad events to conversions.

Qualifications

• Deep hands-on experience with a columnar/OLAP store (ClickHouse preferred) at petabyte scale.
• Advanced SQL with partitioning, large-scale joins, window functions, and views.
• High-throughput data pipelines handling millions to billions of events daily.
• Backend services experience in C# / .NET Core and Java, end-to-end ownership.
• Cloud infrastructure knowledge, particularly AWS, and observability focus.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end design and delivery of high-volume data services on ClickHouse.
• Architect pipelines ingesting billions of ad events and optimizing queries.
• Build and operate C#/.NET Core services powering attribution and campaigns.
• Ingest signals from various sources and manage identity graphs at scale.
• Improve reliability, observability, and performance of data platforms.
• Mentor teammates and drive high-quality design docs and patterns.
• Collaborate with Product, Science, and Engineering to align with business goals.
