Job summary

Roska DBO Inc, a Calgary-based energy services company, is seeking a Contract Formation Specialist to support development, negotiation and execution of commercial agreements within the Oilsands Major Projects team.

This office-based role Monday–Friday requires leading end-to-end tendering, defining scope with internal stakeholders, mitigating risks, and ensuring governance and regulatory conformance; a 10+ year background in contract formation and procurement is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in business or related field.
• 10+ years of contract formation or commercial contracting experience.
• Strong knowledge of contract law and terms.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end tendering process from solicitation to award.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders (Supply Chain, Engineering, Legal, Finance, Operations).
• Drive negotiations aligning with policies, risk tolerance, and business objectives.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate contractual and commercial risks.
• Ensure contracts comply with governance frameworks, legal requirements, and regulatory standards.
• Maintain auditable contract documentation in contract management systems.
• Develop, standardize, and improve contract templates, playbooks, and best practices.
• Provide guidance on contract formation strategy, processes, and compliance requirements.
