The Nurse Practitioner (NP) at VON Canada delivers advanced nursing services in accordance with provincial standards. The NP provides comprehensive, evidence-informed care across the lifespan, including assessment, diagnosis, management, health promotion, and disease prevention.

This role demonstrates leadership, advocates for clients and system improvements, and engages in education and quality initiatives.

Formación

• Master’s degree in Nursing with NP diploma from an accredited program.
• Current registration as a Nurse Practitioner in good standing with the provincial college.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant clinical experience in community-based health care settings.

Responsabilidades

• Provide autonomous, evidence-informed NP care across the lifespan.
• Develop, implement and evaluate management plans with client and family input.
• Prescribe and manage therapies with safe medication reconciliation.
• Lead quality improvement, safety, and risk management initiatives.
• Mentor staff and contribute to program development and education.
