Qualifications

Summary of the Job

Primary function of the job: Study, develop, evaluate and improve manufacturing process for new products. To foster profitable long-term relationships with customer through improve Quality, Productivity, and Cost Efficient Manufacturing process. To provide Solutions for clients to roll out RFQ successfully.

Job Description
  1. New RFQ
    • Collaborate with customer and internal functional groups to understand technical requirements after receiving RFQ package.
    • Engage with inhouse Production Planning and Buyers, Materials department (Commodity Management, Purchasing, Manufacturing Centre, Warehouse), Quality Teams, Engineering Design Teams (when required) and Suppliers (if needed) to ensure Customer requirements is understood
    • RFQ BOM and drawing preparation for new products.
    • Drive Materials department for strategies and plans to achieve competitive material cost.
    • Analyze cost in RFQ for sales quotation
  2. Product Manufacturing Process and Quality
    • Work together with Quality, Engineering and Production to develop efficient manufacturing process that meets high quality results after FA.
    • Prepare and update WI, BOM, drawings and Production jigs for FA.
    • Hands-on involvement during FA assembly process.
    • Attend to any Engineering issues during FA assembly process.
    • Prepare and execute validation activities (IQ,OQ,PQ) in NPI and MR stages
    • Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow, resource and space requirements, and equipment layout
    • Prepare and complete all FA documentation including QC/QA report in preparation for handover to Production based agreed Yield performance according to M Gates.
    • Conduct trainings before handover of FA projects to Production.
    • Engage with vendors to arrange equipment, parts, or material purchases, and evaluate products according to quality standards and specifications.
    • Drive Materials department on Value chain cost reduction, comprising recommendation of alternate component for obsolete, lower cost, shorter lead-time and better performance parts.
  3. Customer Relation and Liaising
    • Accountable for Customer product Lifecycle till end of life
    • Liaise with Customer (depending on customer) for any ECN.
    • Liaise with Customer Support or/and Quality for any NCR or any product related issues and concerns
    • Generate Sales report to update Management on Customer order patterns, Customer KPIs ratings and growth opportunities.
  4. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience and knowledge in the field of contract manufacturing is preferred. For Diploma minimum 10 years and for Degree minimum 6 years.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working as a NPI/Manufacturing engineer in a role providing technical support for a product.
  • Strong knowledge in ERP to integrate business, systems and process providing robust support from product transfer into series production
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to work well with customers and cross-functional co-workers.
  • Proficient in office software such as MS Excel, PowerPoint and Words.
  • Able to work independently on project management.
  • Knowledge in the use of SOLIDWORKS 3D CAD is an added advantage.
  • Experience in cleanroom environment will be an advantage
  • Own transport will be an advantage
