Job description

We are working with an International Producer and Manufacturer of aluminium and non-ferrous metals looking to hire a Senior Non-Ferrous RSI Trader to join their team based in Missouri.

Key Responsibilities / Tasks
  • Handling the lifecycle of the aluminium RSI, including the buying, selling, and processing.
  • Travel to meet with suppliers, consumers, and processors, as well as attend events which expand knowledge and develop relationships.
  • Utilise other internal teams, such as logistics and finance, and collaborate to improve operations and make them more efficient.
  • Building on the current book of business, expanding and curating new relationships with customers, and providing solutions in a timely and efficient manner both within the US and internationally.
  • Role reports to the Vice President of Global Scrap.
Key Qualifications / Experience
  • At least 10 years within the aluminium Remelt Scrap Ingot industry – preferably with both the technical understanding and commercial experience.
  • A relevant bachelor’s degree is required; further education is preferred.
  • Experience within the scrap aluminium market, with an understanding of pricing trends, supply chain dynamics with buyers, and proficiency in using trading platforms to perform these tasks.
  • Attention to detail is needed, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills required.
  • Role is to be located in Saint Louis, Missouri, although hybrid remote is possible.
