You are the "maestro" of noise engineering. As part of our team, you will be client-focused and expected to have extensive knowledge of noise emissions and associated propagation modelling. This position requires you to mentor those who are learning about solving challenging problems associated with consultation on noise.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?
You will be a part of growing and adapting the noise and vibration service line and will be able to provide mentorship to intermediate and junior team members. Reporting to the Group Manager, you will be a project lead and oversee deliverables, financials, and client needs for a diverse portfolio of projects. This position requires an individual with a proven track record of successfully overseeing projects who also has an appreciation for variety, learning, and working with skilled personnel to assist our clients with noise emissions challenges.
JOB DUTIES
- Manage acoustics projects ranging from small to large scale from inception to completion.
- Collaborate with other project managers to manage acoustic scope and deliverables on multi-discipline Cambium projects.
- Identify and develop new opportunities, prepare applicable technical proposals, and take an active role in the development of our business with new and existing clients.
- Perform and supervise field noise and vibration measurements.
- Post-process and analyze measurements using software modules and other tools.
- Model sound propagation using specialized acoustical software.
- Write and review technical reports that present noise emissions methodology, recommendations, mitigation requirements, and results.
- Provide expert witness statements and testimony in litigation matters.
- Managing the financial activities associated with several ongoing projects including issuing invoices, tracking revenues, and understanding where the scope of work may need to be altered and the related cost implications.
- Work to assist in standardizing methods for data collection and analysis to build in efficiencies.
- Liaise with clients and participate in business development activities.
- Participate in the training, mentoring, and coaching of junior staff.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's in science or engineering.
- Professional status as a Professional Engineer, P.Eng. (an asset).
- 7+ years of experience in acoustical engineering (preferable in consulting environment).
- Knowledge of acoustics, wave propagation, and vibration.
- Knowledge of instrumentation for acoustic measurements and vibrations.
- Working knowledge of noise prediction software (e.g., CadnaA) and other supporting software (e.g., Microsoft Office).
- Superior written communication skills are essential. Ability to communicate well with others and engage in technical conversations.
- Demonstration of excellent communication skills with fluency (reading, writing, and oral) in English.
- Excellent at strategic thinking, negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to act as the technical liaison between internal project teams, external clients, and regulators.
- Creative, organized, and able to multi-task while working independently.
