Job summary

Arista Networks is seeking world-class Senior/Lead Network Systems software engineers to design and build features that control hardware components on switches and routers. You will collaborate with customers, product management and hardware engineers to translate requirements into robust software, delivering high-performance networking solutions.

You will work primarily with C, C++, and Python, on UNIX/Linux, and contribute to driver and system software development while mentoring junior

Qualifications

BS or higher in CS/EE/CE with 8+ years of experience, or equivalent work experience.
Expert knowledge of C or C++ and Python.
Knowledge of UNIX or Linux.
Hands-on experience in hardware device drivers and/or system management utilities.

Responsibilities

Interface with customers, product management and hardware engineers to propose network systems features.
Architect, design and manage the development of these features.
Develop features using C, C++ and Python; build tests and test infrastructure.
Collaborate with hardware/manufacturing teams to bring hardware to market.
Design software control interfaces for hardware components and optimize performance.
Provide technical leadership across features and projects.
Analyze and fix customer network issues with Support Engineers.
Mentor junior engineers to ramp up in Arista's development environment.
