Qualifications

• 7-10+ years in cybersecurity with network focus.
• Deep knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs.
• Experience with MDR services and external SOCs.
• Hands-on troubleshooting in enterprise networks.
• Security-by-design principle across networks.
• Ability to influence decisions without ownership.

Responsibilities

• Lead detection, analysis, and response to cybersecurity threats and incidents
• Enforce and promote a security-by-design approach across all network and infrastructure initiatives (core responsibility)
• Conduct ongoing reviews of network and system configurations to ensure alignment with security best practices
• Define, implement, and validate network security controls (segmentation, firewalls, zero trust, etc.)
• Identify vulnerabilities and drive remediation efforts across network environments
• Act as a senior escalation point for complex network-related security issues
• Troubleshoot advanced network and security problems (routing, switching, VPNs, firewall policies)
• Review and challenge network architecture designs to ensure security requirements are embedded from the outset
• Provide targeted advisory input into network architecture and infrastructure planning, as needed (non-primary responsibility)
• Support audits, risk assessments, and compliance initiatives
• Mentor team members and advocate for secure configuration standards
