A leading electronics company in Pointe-Claire, Canada, is seeking an IT Senior Network Operations Analyst to monitor and support their private network and cloud connectivity. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in computer sciences and several years of hands-on experience in large network environments. Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience with Private Cloud network management.
  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols (BGP, SPB, MPLS, VPN, firewall).

About the role

The IT Senior Network Operations Analyst’s role is to monitor and support the private network and the connectivity to cloud services. The candidate must keep up to date with the latest network trends and emerging network threats, have excellent communication and problem-solving skills and have an excellent understanding of network principles and technologies. The individual will have a functional role in mentoring other team members.

Responsibilities
  • Provide network support with a variety of operating systems.
  • Maintain network connectivity to all computer workstations and Cloud services.
  • Monitor and investigate any network performance issues.
  • Assist with implementing new network and security solutions.
  • Develop and monitor network policies for the use of network resources.
  • Perform network configuration backups.
  • Manage disaster recovery failover procedure.
  • Evaluate and recommend network performance and security improvement.
  • Investigate and analyze network incidents to determine the root cause and the impact.
  • Assist and collaborate with the Information Security Group on Network Threats.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging network security threats to proactively address potential risks.
  • Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer sciences.
  • 5+ years Hands‑on experience in a large production network environment.
  • 3+ years of experience with Private Cloud network management.
  • Strong knowledge of networking (BGP, SPB, MPLS, VPN, firewall etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of network monitoring tools.
  • Strong knowledge of Network and Cloud Security principle.
  • Good knowledge of Active Directory.
