GuruLink is seeking a Head of Network Operations Center (NOC) to lead the 24/7 monitoring and support of connected hardware and cloud infrastructure from Montréal, QC. This senior role will shape the NOC, incident response, change management and operational processes.

The right candidate has 10+ years in cloud/infrastructure with leadership, extensive NOC experience, and deep Azure expertise. Hybrid work, strong benefits and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years in cloud infrastructure, network ops or OT with leadership experience.
  • Extensive experience in a Network Operations Center (NOC).
  • Proven track record building or scaling 24/7 monitoring and incident response.
  • Deep expertise with Microsoft Azure and scalable cloud infrastructure.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows, Linux, IP networking, DNS, firewalls and load balancers.
  • Experience with DevOps tools: Git, Python, PowerShell, Docker, Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and DevSecOps practices.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies; SAFe is a plus.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Build, develop and lead a 24/7 Network Operations Center
  • Establish processes, tools and operating model to monitor products and production systems
  • Lead first-line operational support, including system monitoring, incident response and escalation
  • Ensure complex incidents are triaged and driven to resolution
  • Develop onboarding processes for customers and partners across B2C and B2B
  • Support operational rollout of new products and releases
  • Establish change-management and release processes
  • Develop knowledge-management practices and runbooks
  • Lead root-cause analysis of recurring incidents and implement fixes
  • Design, deploy and manage cloud services across environments with emphasis on Azure
  • Develop cloud ops strategy covering scalability, availability, capacity, performance and cost
  • Develop tools and processes for reliable cloud infrastructure management
  • Ensure security, data privacy, audit and compliance requirements
  • Provide advanced technical troubleshooting and Tier 3 support
  • Define and track operational processes and performance metrics
  • Lead, coach and mentor technical team members

The Opportunity

Our client is a growing clean-energy technology company developing connected hardware and software solutions for the residential energy market.

They are looking for a Head of Network Operations Center (NOC) to build and lead the operational function responsible for monitoring and supporting their connected products and cloud infrastructure.

This is a senior leadership role combining 24/7 network operations, cloud infrastructure, customer and product support, incident management, technical troubleshooting and operational process development. You'll work closely with teams across Engineering, Product, Customer Support, Sales, Supply Chain and Manufacturing to ensure production systems and deployed products remain reliable, secure and scalable.

What You'll Do
  • Build, develop and lead a 24/7 Network Operations Center
  • Establish the processes, tools and operating model required to monitor connected products and production systems
  • Lead first-line operational support, including system monitoring, failure detection, incident response and escalation
  • Ensure complex technical incidents are effectively triaged and driven through resolution
  • Develop processes for customer and partner onboarding across both B2C and B2B environments
  • Work cross-functionally to support the operational rollout of new products and releases
  • Establish and manage change-management and release processes
  • Develop effective knowledge-management practices, including technical guidelines, documentation, manuals and operational checklists
  • Lead root-cause analysis of recurring incidents, bugs and system failures and implement sustainable corrective processes
  • Design, deploy and manage cloud infrastructure services across multiple environments, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure
  • Develop a cloud operations strategy covering scalability, availability, capacity planning, performance and cost management
  • Develop operational tools and processes supporting reliable cloud infrastructure management
  • Establish processes supporting security, data privacy, audit and compliance requirements
  • Provide advanced technical troubleshooting and Tier 3 support for complex infrastructure and operational issues
  • Define and track appropriate operational processes, standards and performance expectations
  • Lead, coach and mentor technical team members
  • Partner closely with technical and business teams to continuously improve service reliability and operational performance

Industry Experience:

Experience in the energy sector is strongly preferred, particularly within connected or distributed energy technologies such as solar, battery storage, EV charging, energy management or other networked energy infrastructure.
