Job summary

Myticas Consulting in Ottawa is seeking an experienced Network Service Engineer to design, implement, and optimize carrier-grade network services for customers. The role focuses on scalable, reliable network infrastructure and alignment with business goals and customer requirements.

The on-site presence is required four days per week in Ottawa; the ideal candidate has 10+ years in carrier and customer network design, strong routing and switching expertise, and professional networking

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in carrier and customer network design, operations, deployment and support.
• Strong knowledge of routing and switching protocols (IPv4/IPv6, BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, MPLS).
• Hands-on with network test devices and reporting tools (Ixia, Spirent).
• Experience with network automation/scripting (Python, Ansible).

Responsibilities

• Design and support Layer 2 and Layer 3 routing and switching solutions.
• Translate business needs into practical network solution designs.
• Develop strategies for implementing and managing network service architectures.
• Lead reviews of product change requests with technical feasibility assessments.
