About the Role

Canon USA in Melville, NY is currently seeking a Senior .NET Developer (Sr Engineer, Software Development) within the Marketing Strategy Unit to join our team and build functional applications and websites. Senior .NET Developer responsibilities include participating in the entire software development life cycle, debugging applications and configuring existing systems. If you are equally happy to roll up your sleeves to write code and review other team members’ work, we would like to meet you. Ultimately, you will use your expertise in the .NET framework to help us deploy high-quality applications. This position is full time and offers a hybrid work schedule requiring you to be in the office Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and an option to work from home the remainder of the week (unless a specific business need arises requiring in office attendance on other days). Note that work schedules and office reporting requirements may change from time to time based on business needs.

Your Impact
  1. Analyze system requirements and prioritize tasks
  2. Write clean, testable code using .NET programming languages
  3. Develop technical specifications and architecture
  4. Test and debug various .NET applications
  5. Review and re-factor code
  6. Deploy fully functional applications
  7. Upgrade existing programs
  8. Support other team members
  9. Document development and operational procedures
About You: The Skills & Expertise You Bring
  1. Bachelor’s degree in a Computer Science or a related discipline required, plus 5 years of related experience
  2. At least 5 years of professional programming experience
  3. Extensive experience programming in C#, SQL, JS, XML, HTML. The most important being C#/SQL
  4. Real successes in optimizing C# algorithms or SQL transactions
  5. Experience with technology stack of ASP.Net, ASP.NET Core, MSSQL Server, IIS, Azure DevOps
  6. Experience building and maintaining applications
  7. ETL experience
  8. Automation experience
  9. Experience building reports
  10. Self-starter, who takes initiative. Finds things to improve without being told
  11. Good communication skills
  12. Power Platform, Power Apps, Power Automation, Power BI a plus

We are providing the anticipated salary range for this role: $104,870 - $157,050 annually
