Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Naval Architect to provide engineering support for the analysis, assessment, and repair of submarine steel structures and hull systems within a waterfront engineering environment.

The role focuses on existing and degraded structures, requiring sound engineering judgment and practical repair solutions while collaborating with engineering, production, quality, project management, customers and contractors.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
• 4 years of structural or marine engineering experience.
• Knowledge of surveying, repairs, and maintenance of marine structures.
• Experience overseeing complex repair solutions for steel structures.

Responsibilities

• Assess existing submarine structures and determine appropriate repair solutions.
• Develop and oversee structural repair specifications, calculations, drawings, and documentation.
• Provide engineering direction during fabrication, installation, testing and commissioning of submarine structures.
• Review surveys, NDT reports, inspections, and technical queries to guide repairs.
