Job summary

Instacart is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to design, build, and deploy production ML systems that drive enterprise AI initiatives. The role spans problem formulation, data prep, model training, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring, with emphasis on scalable Python services in cloud environments.

• Proficiency in Python and SQL; production-quality code with testing, profiling, debugging and reviews.
• Experience with full ML lifecycle from data prep to production monitoring.
• Experience building and operating ML services in cloud (GCP or AWS).
• Experience with containerized services and production software practices (Docker, CI, monitoring).
• Ability to work with product, engineering, data science, and business stakeholders to deliver measurable outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Own the full ML lifecycle from problem framing to production rollout and monitoring.
