Job summary

Capgemini Engineering is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to build, operate, and evolve large-scale, production-grade infrastructure across cloud environments. You will focus on reliability, scalability, automation, and observable systems while collaborating with data scientists and software engineers.

The role emphasizes Kubernetes-based ML workloads, batch scheduling with Volcano/Kueue, and modern CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• Extensive Kubernetes experience with large-scale workloads.
• Experience with Volcano / Kueue batch schedulers.
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems and cloud-native architectures.
• Experience managing workloads on Kubernetes platforms such as AWS EKS.
• Proven track record delivering infrastructure migrations.
• Proficient in Python or Golang.
• Experience with IaC and deployment tools (Terraform, Helm).
• CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or Azure DevOps.
• Strong Linux system administration and troubleshooting.
• Observability tooling: Prometheus, Grafana.
• ML lifecycle understanding and production operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage cloud-native infrastructure for large-scale ML workloads on Kubernetes.
• Operate batch schedulers to optimize GPU and compute resource utilization.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for ML services and platforms.
• Manage Kubernetes environments on AWS EKS and other clouds.
• Lead infrastructure modernization and migration initiatives.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists and ML Engineers to productionize ML solutions.
• Implement observability and alerting for distributed systems and GPU clusters.
• Ensure platform reliability, security, scalability, and operational excellence.
• Troubleshoot distributed systems and performance bottlenecks.
