Job summary

AMC Consultants, now part of AFRY, seeks a Senior Mining Engineer to join our Underground teams in Canada. You will deliver technical assignments under the guidance of a Project Manager and help manage risk exposure while promoting AMC’s services.

With a focus on life of mine planning, scheduling, and cost estimation, you will develop client relationships and lead consulting projects from initial concept through to execution, in a collaborative, high-performance environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering required.
• Minimum 10 years of specialized experience.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal abilities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver technical engineering assignments to agreed specifications and quality.
• Develop and maintain client relationships to support AMC’s brand and project portfolio.
• Generate and oversee an individual portfolio of consulting assignments through your own business development activities.
• Review and support colleagues’ work and participate in internal knowledge-sharing activities.

Position: Senior Mining Engineer

Location: Canada

Role Overview

We are looking for Senior Mining Engineers to join our Underground teams in Canada.

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering technical assignments working under the guidance of a Project Manager. You will also play a key part in managing and mitigating AMC’s risk exposure while actively promoting AMC’s services.

Leveraging your experience and industry networks, you will proactively market AMC’s services and deliver chargeable consulting work.

Salary

C$140,000 – $150,000, the salary will be based on your overall experiences and qualifications.

Qualifications And Experience

• A Bachelor's degree or higher in Mining Engineering is required.
• At least 10 years of specialized experience, demonstrating recognized expertise.
• Demonstrated capacity to work independently, coupled with strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
• Commitment to high ethical standards and professionalism, with values aligned to those of AMC.
