Your Opportunity
Stantec has an opportunity for a Senior/Intermediate Mine Water Quality Modelling Specialist with a strong background to join our Environmental Services team. The position will ideally be located in either Victoria, Sidney or Burnaby, British Columbia but there is flexibility for our other offices and relocation assistance available.
The ideal candidate is someone that can capitalize on existing client relationships to expand Stantec’s profile and market share in the regional and national market. The successful candidate will be responsible for contributing to water quality and geochemistry field programs, environmental assessments, and environmental permitting activities for a variety of projects but with a focus on mining.

Education and Experience
Minimum of a B.Sc. in Geochemistry, Hydrogeology, or Earth Sciences/Engineering with a specific focus in the areas of water quality, geochemistry, preference may be given to those with advanced degree
Minimum of 10+ years of experience, which must include relevant consulting experience in the mining sector, including mine water quality predictions, water quality modelling or the assessment of water quality impacts, preference may be given to those 15+ years of experience
Professional registration or eligibility is required (P.Geo. or P.Eng.).
Valid Driver’s License required.
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time.

Pay Range:
Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
