Job summary

Equinox Gold Corp. in Ontario seeks an experienced Mine Geology Supervisor to lead the Mine Geology team, provide technical direction, mentorship, and ensure safe, efficient ore control and sampling processes.

You will contribute to short-, mid-, and long-range mine planning, maintain QA/QC standards, and collaborate with operations, engineering, and environmental teams to continuously improve geological data workflows.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of mine geology and supervisory experience in open-pit mining; underground experience is an asset.
• Experience with Archean orogenic gold deposits and their controls preferred.
• Strong attention to detail with data management and reporting skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day activities of the Mine Geology team with technical direction and mentoring.
• Oversee grade control, RC drilling, BH sampling, and ore/waste boundary communications.
• Support short-range, mid-range, and long-range mine planning with geological input.
• Maintain QA/QC and data workflow quality, including blanks and standards.
• Collaborate with Mine Operations, Engineering, Metallurgy, and Environmental teams.
