Job summary

Glencore Sudbury Integrated Nickel Operations (INO) in Greater Sudbury, Ontario, seeks a Senior Mine Engineer based in Onaping. This full-time, permanent position manages significant mine engineering services and budget responsibilities within a demanding mining environment.

The incumbent will lead engineering activities, ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, and work closely with operations to align with corporate best practices.

Qualifications

• Professional engineer registered in Ontario with a minimum of 10 years of experience in mine engineering, mine design and preferably some experience in mine operations and/or management of projects.
• Strong leadership and communication skills; initiative and progressive change attitude.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver mine engineering services to meet health, safety and environmental regulations and organizational goals.
• Act as designate to the Chief Mine Engineer; lead annual site budget and long-term business planning.
• Ensure technical systems, processes and standards at the mine align with Sudbury INO best practices and Mine Design and Engineering Guidelines.
• Engage operations personnel to ensure joint ownership and shared understanding of the business plan.
