Job summary

Sun Life is seeking a Senior Microsoft 365 Engineer to solve complex engineering challenges across 365, Teams, and related endpoint technologies. You will lead initiatives from requirements through implementation, partnering with architecture, security, and operations teams to deliver secure, scalable solutions.

You will design automation, integrate with Graph/REST APIs, and govern enterprise endpoints including Intune and policy controls.

Qualifications

• Experience engineering Microsoft 365 and Teams in a medium-to-large enterprise.
• Demonstrated experience leading technical projects from requirements and planning through production implementation and operational transition.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex enterprise technologies, root-cause analysis and practical solutions.
• Experience developing scripts and automated solutions using PowerShell, APIs or workflows.
• Ability to communicate technical recommendations to technical and business stakeholders.
• University degree, college diploma, or equivalent work experience.
• Assets: Microsoft Graph and REST API development.
• Microsoft Teams applications, bots, custom applications or third-party integrations.
• Microsoft Intune, Group Policy, Microsoft Entra ID, modern authentication, Conditional Access, OAuth/OIDC, application registrations or enterprise applications.
• Microsoft Copilot, AI agents, AI-enabled automation or workflow automation.
• Experience with hybrid cloud and SaaS environments, Agile or ITIL delivery, or relevant Microsoft technology certifications.
• This role requires Government of Canada Reliability Status clearance.

• Develop technical designs, implementation plans, testing approaches and documentation, and communicate recommendations, risks and decisions to technical and business stakeholders.

Job Description

As a Senior Microsoft 365 Engineer, you will solve complex Microsoft 365 engineering challenges and lead technical initiatives from requirements and design through implementation and operational transition. You will work across Microsoft 365, Microsoft Teams, enterprise browsers, endpoint technologies, automation and security while partnering with technology, cybersecurity, architecture, operations, vendors and business teams.

• This role requires Government of Canada Reliability Status clearance. The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance.
