Sun Life Financial is seeking an Access Governance Specialist to deliver compliance tasks and strengthen IAM security controls. You will assess identity-related risk, run access reviews, and partner with audit and security teams to maintain regulatory alignment.

The role requires a university degree in a related field, 5+ years in IT security, and experience with IAM tools such as SailPoint, Venafi, CyberArk Vault, and ServiceNow.

Qualifikationen

• University degree/college diploma in Business or Computer Science related discipline(s).
• 5+ years in IT security related projects, access controls, identity and access management.
• Professional IT security designations (CIAM, CISSP, CCSP, CISM, CISA, CGEIT, CRISC, SANS/GIAC, CEH) preferred.
• Proficient with SQL queries for data analysis and reporting.
• Experience with SailPoint, Venafi, CyberArk Vault, and ServiceNow is a plus.

Job Description

The Access Governance Specialist will be accountable for delivery of compliance tasks within company regulations and directives to improve security posture and reduce identity-related risk. They will identify, assess, and recommend controls and solutions that meet security standards while ensuring functionality for business continuity.

What you will do

• Responsible on operational activities in executing periodic access reviews and attestation processes, audit and regulatory compliance in a timely manner to ensure adherence to Logical Access Security Standards.
• Be responsive to queries from internal clients and provide support as required in a timely manner.
• Be resourceful and be able to work with technical support and project teams with strong collaboration and synergy to ensure the service delivered satisfies the end user’s requirement while meeting Governance best practices to improve global IAM security posture.
• Work closely with Audit teams to demonstrate compliance to information security standards, audit and regulatory requirements.
• Work closely with Security Platform team to support cert lifecycle management.
• Provide management report to established information security, audit and regulatory compliance.

What you need to succeed

University degree/college diploma in Business or Computer Science related discipline(s). 5+ years in IT security related projects, access controls, identity and access management 5+ experience on Identity & Access Management suite Professional designation in IT security (such as CIAM, CISSP, CCSP, CISM, CISA, CGEIT, CRISC, SANS/GIAC, CEH) preferred A thorough understanding of Identity and Access Management Governance models. Technical skills in running complex SQL queries for data analysis and generating reports. Proficient on Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, any Add-ins), Phython or Poweshell experience. Knowledge with other tools: SailPoint tools, Venafi Certificate Management, CyberArk Vault, ServiceNow

Preferred skills This position requires a strong analytical aptitude with the ability to drive solutions to a positive conclusion. Able to work independently with high degree of ambiguity and deliver expected outcomes, be focused on the end deliverables and build trust with internal clients and peers. Technical skills in running complex SQL queries for data analysis and generating reports. Proficient on Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, any Add-ins), Phython or Poweshell experience. Knowledge with other tools: SailPoint tools, Venafi Certificate Management, CyberArk Vault, ServiceNow Work experience in Financial Industry preferred.

Security Clearance & Background Checks

This role requires Reliability Security Clearance. In addition to a law enforcement inquiry and a credit check, as part of your application, the Government of Canada will ask if you lived or travelled outside of Canada for 6-consecutive months during the last 5 years, and you must account for all activities during this time. The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors.
