Position Overview :

The Senior Medical Science Liaison (MSL) will be a field-based representative of the Medical Affairs organization. The role involves developing and maintaining relationships with external collaborators and key opinion leaders within relevant disease areas, serving as the scientific regional expert.

Responsibilities :

  1. Develop and maintain relationships with principal investigators, key opinion leaders, and external experts.
  2. Demonstrate deep scientific expertise about the pipeline and therapeutic areas to exchange relevant information with external stakeholders.
  3. Collaborate with clinical and administrative departments and hospitals to build research relationships with clinical sites.
  4. Support education and training of site research staff on clinical protocols and scientific rationale.
  5. Capture clinical experiences to improve understanding of product performance.
  6. Identify key thought leaders and external experts, including patient advocacy groups and digital opinion leaders.
  7. Support clinical trial activities, including patient identification, recruitment, and investigator education.
  8. Coordinate medical education for external stakeholders such as patient advocacy groups and investigators.
  9. Participate in the collection and exchange of scientific and technical information.
  10. Translate feedback from healthcare professionals into insights for internal strategies.
  11. Ensure all materials and activities meet high standards of quality and accuracy.
  12. Identify and monitor research collaborations and investigator-sponsored trials.
  13. Represent the organization at scientific meetings and conferences.
  14. Maintain expertise through literature review and conference attendance.
  15. Contribute to regional advisory boards and medical education programs.
  16. Collaborate cross-functionally with Clinical Operations, Clinical Development, and Medical Communications.
  17. Perform other project work as assigned.

Requirements :

Education and Experience :

  • Advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, NP, or MD) with at least 8 years of industry experience (biotech, pharma, medical device, or CRO).
  • Minimum of 8 years as an MSL required.
  • Experience in hematology-oncology is required; knowledge of B cell malignancies is preferred.
