Salary Range: $37.432 - $46.906 hourly, Grade: SGEU.11

We invest in positive outcomes for our employees, students, and province. We are currently seeking a Senior Media Relations Consultant in our Communications and Sector Relations Branch. As a Senior Media Relations Consultant, you will:

  1. Act as a ministry contact and arrange media interviews;
  2. Research and prepare a wide range of written materials including news releases, backgrounders, and media interview guides;
  3. Monitor issues and trends in media coverage and correspondence;
  4. Develop and implement communications plans to support the goals and objectives of the ministry; and
  5. Write and edit other written communication materials.

Typically, the knowledge for this position would be obtained through completion of a certificate or degree in journalism or communications. However, a combination of education and work experience will be considered.
