Westinghouse Electric Company in Kitchener, Ontario, invites applications for a Senior Engineer – Mechanical Systems and Equipment. The role leads design, development and analysis of complex mechanical systems supporting legacy and advanced reactor technologies, while mentoring engineers and coordinating with cross-functional teams.

The position is hybrid, with onsite work two days per week at the Kitchener office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Nuclear Engineering or related field.
• P.Eng certification is required.
• 5–10 years of related experience in mechanical design, development, and analysis.
• Experience with mechanical systems and/or equipment design, development, and analysis including fluid systems and interfaces with instrumentation and control.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and analysis of complex mechanical systems and equipment.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring engineers, and delegating tasks.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical challenges balancing cost, schedule, and quality.
• Communicate progress, risks and impacts to leadership and partners.
