Your Contribution
Your Main Responsibilities
As a Mechanical Project Manager, you will work in collaboration with the Mechanical Design Team in our Englobe Saskatoon office.
- Require to have HVAC design experience in commercial, and multi-dwelling buildings.
- Actively participate in all projects, providing leadership, client input/feedback, and general direction.
- Work with the design team on the project, develop and monitor mechanical design strategies for building construction to ensure efficient and sustainable project delivery.
- Develop relationships with clients, industry affiliates, engineers, technologists, technicians, and construction personnel.
- Manage all aspects associated with client relationship management and project service delivery.
- Meet with clients regarding projects, progress reporting, and the resolution of issues, as required.
- Oversee the entire project lifecycle, from preliminary services through project implementation, including coordination of administrative and financial aspects.
- Coordinate the preparation of engineering specifications and drawings, evaluate quantities and cost estimates.
- Ensure that mechanical drawings and specifications meet established project criteria and standards.
- Develop standards related to our mechanical engineering practice, ensuring best practices for project management and delivery.
- Utilize industry-specific software and related technologies in design and analysis.
- Prepare reports, proposals, tender/bid submissions, budgets, project plans, and other documentation as required.
- Engage with agencies for project approvals and permits when necessary.
- Estimate and schedule projects, including close-out review and updating company data and resources.
- Apply and promote Englobe’s health and safety rules.
Your Profile
What Makes You Unique
- Must have a P.Eng. from a recognized post-secondary institution, in mechanical HVAC design (Engineering, CAD Design, Technologies, or Project Management). LEED accreditation and experience with sustainable design initiatives are assets.
- 10+ years of experience in mechanical design engineering for commercial, institutional, multi-family, and light industrial HVAC or equivalent responsibilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, AutoCAD; Revit experience is an asset.
- Excellent command of English grammar, spelling, composition, oral communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Professional, energetic, and action-oriented.
- Strong organization, time management, and prioritization skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work individually and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously.
- Ability to balance work and personal life.
- Sense of humor.
- Comfortable working in an office environment with occasional site visits and outside normal hours when necessary.
