You will work under the supervision of the Design Team Lead and will work well with the rest of the project team and customer while upholding Worley’s standards for safety and technical excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Senior level mechanical engineering design and analysis for nuclear projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Develop and review technical specifications, design packages, and engineering reports.

  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior and intermediate engineers.

  • Oversee modifications and upgrades to nuclear facilities, ensuring optimal performance and safety.

  • Conduct complex engineering calculations and simulations to validate design solutions.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including project managers, regulatory bodies, and contractors.

  • Participate in risk assessments, design reviews, and constructability evaluations.

  • Ensure strict adherence to CSA N299, CSA N285 and ASME Section III codes and standards where applicable.

What you will bring:

Technical and Industry Experience:

  • Extensive experience working on Bruce Power and/or OPG projects, with deep knowledge of nuclear industry regulations and best practices.

  • Expertise in mechanical equipment such as pumps, compressors, pressure vessels, storage tanks, heat exchangers, HVAC systems, fire protection systems, and piping systems.

  • Strong proficiency in engineering software for design, modeling, and analysis.

  • Advanced understanding of nuclear safety principles, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.

  • Ability to lead complex engineering projects and provide innovative solutions to technical challenges.

  • Experience in stakeholder engagement, project management, and regulatory interactions .

  • Strong ability to interpret and apply CSA N299, CSA N285 and ASME Section III codes and standards in mechanical engineering tasks.

Education – Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (minimum requirement).

  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) licensed in Ontario.

  • Additional certifications or training in nuclear engineering or mechanical design are considered an asset .

Required:

Active Ontario Power Generation and/or Bruce Power Security Clearance is advantage
