Job summary

Bantrel Co. is a leading EPC/EPCM contractor in Canada, delivering complex energy, mining, infrastructure and nuclear projects. We are seeking a LNG specialized Senior Mechanical Engineer to join the Energy team, with options for Edmonton, Calgary, Saskatoon or Toronto offices, or 100% remote within Canada.

You will review LNG Tank specifications and lead design and evaluation. This on-call, part-time role requires a recognized mechanical engineering degree and P.Eng registration, with 10–15

Qualifications

• LNG Tank design experience required.
• Registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng).
• 10–15 years LNG storage tank design experience.

Responsibilities

• Review LNG Tank deliverables such as data sheets, specifications, material requisitions, etc.
• Lead LNG Tank design and evaluation.
• Coordinate assigned work with other technical personnel as required.
• Review design documents from equipment manufacturers or subcontractors and provide comments.
• Review and check designs, drawings, and data by other engineers/specialists or suppliers.
• Familiarize with engineering department procedures and apply them to projects.
• Apply knowledge of CSA Z276, ASME, ASTM, API 620/625 codes and standards.

We are currently seeking a qualified LNG specialized Senior Mechanical Engineerto join our Energy team, based out of any of our Bantrel offices; Edmonton, Calgary, Saskatoon or Toronto or the option to be 100% remote within Canada. TheSenior Mechanical Engineerwill be responsible forreviewing and evaluating LNG Tank specifications and data sheets and will lead LNG Tank design and evaluation.

Duties & Responsibilities include:

• Review of LNG Tank deliverables such as data sheets, specifications, material requisitions, etc.;
• LNG Tank design and evaluation;
• Coordinate assigned work with other technical personnel as required;
• Review design documents of equipment manufacturer’s or subcontractors, and prepare comments and recommendations accordingly;
• Participate in reviewing and checking designs, drawings and data by other engineers / specialists or by suppliers;
• Familiar with all engineering department procedures and their application to projects;
• Knowledge of design standards and guides applicable to the LNG Storage Tank; and

Qualifications

A recognized mechanical engineering degree from an accredited university and registration as a Professional Engineer.

10 to 15 years of relevant LNG Storage Tank design experience

Experience in LNG project pressure equipment or in an operating LNG plant is considered an asset.

Knowledge of industry / regulatory codes and standards such as CSA Z276, ASME, ASTM, API 620/625, etc.
