Job summary

Bantrel Co. is seeking a LNG specialized Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Energy team. Based out of any Bantrel offices in Edmonton, Calgary, Saskatoon or Toronto, or 100% remote within Canada, you will review LNG Tank specs and data sheets and lead LNG Tank design and evaluation.

The role is a part-time flexible on-call position with responsibilities across design reviews, coordination and adherence to standards. A PE registration is required.

Qualifications

• A recognized mechanical engineering degree from an accredited university.
• 10 to 15 years of relevant LNG Storage Tank design experience.
• Experience in LNG project pressure equipment or in an operating LNG plant is asset.

Responsibilities

• Review LNG Tank deliverables: data sheets, specifications, material requisitions.
• Lead LNG Tank design and evaluation.
• Coordinate work with other technical personnel as required.
• Review designs from equipment manufacturers or subcontractors and provide comments.
• Check designs, drawings and data with other engineers/specialists or suppliers.
• Adhere to engineering department procedures and project application.
• Knowledge of LNG Tank design standards and guides; promote open, trustful teamwork.

We are currently seeking a qualified LNG specialized Senior Mechanical Engineerto join our Energy team, based out of any of our Bantrel offices; Edmonton, Calgary, Saskatoon or Toronto or the option to be 100% remote within Canada. TheSenior Mechanical Engineerwill be responsible forreviewing and evaluating LNG Tank specifications and data sheets and will lead LNG Tank design and evaluation.

Duties & Responsibilities include:

• Review of LNG Tank deliverables such as data sheets, specifications, material requisitions, etc.;
• LNG Tank design and evaluation;
• Coordinate assigned work with other technical personnel as required;
• Review design documents of equipment manufacturer’s or subcontractors, and prepare comments and recommendations accordingly;
• Participate in reviewing and checking designs, drawings and data by other engineers / specialists or by suppliers;
• Familiar with all engineering department procedures and their application to projects;
• Knowledge of design standards and guides applicable to the LNG Storage Tank; and

Qualifications

A recognized mechanical engineering degree from an accredited university and registration as a Professional Engineer.

10 to 15 years of relevant LNG Storage Tank design experience

Experience in LNG project pressure equipment or in an operating LNG plant is considered an asset.

Knowledge of industry / regulatory codes and standards such as CSA Z276, ASME, ASTM, API 620/625, etc.
