Job summary

VulcanX Energy Corp. is seeking a highly qualified Mechanical Engineer to join the team and support FEED, detailed design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and operations of hydrogen production plants.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years of industrial experience in chemical plant design, with strong piping, pressure vessels, and high-temperature hydrocarbon pyrolysis expertise. Responsibilities include coordinating with operations, maintenance, and quality teams, reviewing vendor drawings,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Applied Science.
• P.Eng. in Alberta (APEGA) is required; BC (EGBC) is an asset.
• 8+ years of experience in oil & gas, hydrogen and chemical process design, focusing on high-temperature equipment and piping concepts.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Provide mechanical engineering support from concept through to detailed design, construction, commissioning and start-up.
• Develop mechanical equipment data sheets and vendor RFQ packages.
• Perform stress analysis on critical piping systems for the pyrolysis process plant.
• Support QA/QC processes and project control documents.
