International Quest Engineering Ltd. (IQE) has an opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Engineer with a growth mindset to join our team and develop new business opportunities. In this role, you will take the lead in the development, planning and coordination of mechanical building systems designs for commercial, multi-family, and heavy industrial projects for the wood products, mining and energy sectors.
This is a growth-oriented position with a variety of tasks ranging from design work in the office to field work at the job site. Your primary responsibility will be leading projects which focus on the design of building mechanical systems. Opportunities exist for involvement in other aspects of the company which include general machinery design, material handling systems, and multidiscipline project management.
The preferred candidate will be self-motivated, with a strong work ethic and focus on quality. Good communication and client-facing skills are a necessity. The candidate must be a professional engineer having the P.Eng. designation, with 8+ years of relevant experience.
The candidate most likely to succeed in this role will have a demonstrated record of achievement based on them being:
BSc/Engineering with a major in Mechanical Engineering
P. Eng. in good standing registered with EGBC or other provincial jurisdictions
8+ years of mechanical engineering experience
