Qualifications

  • 10+ years of relevant experience, preferably in EPCM environments.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng, Ing, PE).
  • Experience with power plant and renewable natural gas plant design.

Responsibilities

  • Design mechanical piping and equipment for power plants.
  • Develop P&IDs and perform engineering calculations.
  • Prepare specifications for major equipment.

Senior Mechanical Engineer - Energy Generation

Join our team at WSP in Canada as a Senior Mechanical Engineer in the Energy Generation sector. We are seeking candidates for our offices in Calgary, AB; Moncton, NB; or Kitchener, ON.

About the Role: As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will lead complex energy projects from concept to detailed design, collaborating across disciplines to meet engineering goals. You will support various clients, including Independent Power Producers, Municipal Electric Utilities, and Developers, working on diverse power plant technologies such as biomass, geothermal, hydrogen, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design mechanical piping and equipment for power plants
