Job summary

TEEMA Group is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to support the Non-Integrated Areas Planning group in Burnaby, BC. You will manage mechanical workloads across capital projects, assist with design, costing, inspection, and troubleshooting of diesel generating station systems in an electric utility environment.

The role involves working with operations staff, suppliers, contractors and consultants to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient project execution. A P.Eng./P.Geo.

Qualifications

• Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or Professional Geoscientist (P.Geo.) with Engineers & Geoscientists BC or eligible for registration elsewhere.
• Familiarity with CAD systems and drawing standards.
• Intermediate English skills for professional environment, written and spoken.
• Ability to use standard industry design/analysis software.
• Intermediate MS Office skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Develop safe engineering solutions by designing and analyzing medium-complexity projects for company projects and operations.
• Assist management to meet safety, cost, quality and time objectives by proposing changes, preparing reports, and coordinating schedules.
• Resolve technical design and field engineering problems by independent study and recommended safe designs.
• Contribute to development of technical standards and guidance within the engineering practice.
