Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Senior Data Center Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanical design for large-scale data centers and mission-critical facilities. You will guide a team of engineers, select cooling strategies, and ensure systems meet resilience and efficiency goals while coordinating with clients and project teams.

You will apply industry standards, codes, and best practices, lead design discussions, and contribute to knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• P.Eng registration in Canada is required or pursued.
• Extensive experience in data centers and mission-critical facilities.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver mechanical systems for data centers and mission-critical facilities.
• Lead mechanical design including cooling plants, chilled water and DX systems.
• Coordinate with vendors, clients and multidisciplinary teams.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers.
• Support proposals, design packages, and construction administration.
• Ensure compliance with ASHRAE, CSA, NEC/NFPA, Uptime and TIA-942 standards.
