Job summary

VTEK Consultants Inc. in Montreal, QC seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer with 10–15 years of experience in material handling and bulk systems to lead design and project execution. You will seal designs, prepare drawings, and guide teams to meet budgets and schedules within Quebec standards.

The role requires proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit and SolidWorks, and fluency in French and English, with a focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 10–15 years of mechanical engineering experience in material handling or bulk systems.
• Proficient with AutoCAD, Revit and SolidWorks and related design codes.
• Fluent in French and English with strong communication skills.
• Ability to lead multiple priorities and teams.

Responsibilities

• Sign, approve, and seal mechanical designs in accordance with Quebec engineering standards.
• Design complex mechanical systems for material handling and bulk processing.
• Oversee engineering projects for material handling and bulk systems while ensuring budgets, timelines, and quality standards are met.
• Prepare and validate drawings, specifications, shop drawings, and mechanical calculations for conveyors, feeders, and processing equipment.
• Coordinate teams and ensure compliance of deliverables at every project stage.
• Resolve technical issues and recommend effective solutions for complex bulk handling systems.

Responsibilities

• Sign, approve, and seal mechanical designs in accordance with Quebec engineering standards

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 10 to 15 years of experience in mechanical engineering, specifically in material handling and bulk (industrial or mining sectors)
• Strong knowledge of relevant codes and design software (AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks)
• Excellent communication skills in French and English
• Strong leadership, rigor, and ability to manage multiple priorities
