What You’ll Do

  • Lead mechanical design assignments with a focus on healthcare facilities, applying advanced knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems to support healing environments.
  • Champion patient-centered design by integrating mechanical systems that enhance comfort, safety, and infection control.
  • Use your expertise in Revit to produce high-quality documentation and mentor junior technologists, along with contributing to the development and refinement of Revit standards, templates and workflows.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and healthcare planners to ensure mechanical systems align with clinical workflows and regulatory standards.
  • Conduct site surveys and field reviews to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Support contract administration and quality control throughout the project lifecycle.

  • What You Bring To The Table

  • Diploma in Architecture / Construction Engineering Technology or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in mechanical design and drafting, especially in healthcare settings.
  • Advanced proficiency in Revit.
  • Strong knowledge of ASHRAE, OBC, NFPA, CSA Z317.2 and other relevant codes.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Experience in contract administration and mentoring is a strong asset.
