INVIRO is recruiting a Mechanical Engineer for full-time, on-site work in Gloucester, Ontario. The role focuses on design, load calculations, schematics, equipment selection, and system concept reports for industrial, commercial and institutional buildings.

The ideal candidate holds a Mechanical Engineering degree with a P.Eng designation and 6+ years of relevant experience; a Master’s degree is an asset and knowledge of NBC/OBC and LEED is helpful.

Qualifikationen

• Post-secondary degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• P.Eng designation is required.
• 6+ years of mechanical engineering experience for industrial, commercial, or institutional buildings.
• Familiarity with NBC/OBC codes and LEED is an asset.
• Ability to work independently and in a team, with deadline discipline.

Aufgaben

• Prepare design, load calculations, schematics, equipment selection and system concept reports.
• Prepare contract documents including specifications.
• Evaluate shop drawings and reviews.
• Manage projects from design through construction and ensure code compliance.
• Lead meetings with clients, contractors and consultants and review project reports.
• Provide guidance in problem identification and resolution.
