Senior Mechanical and Electrical Engineer - R&D

Role Overview: We seek a Senior Electrical and Mechanical Engineer with over 10 years of experience in HVAC, air solutions, and product R&D. The candidate should have a multidisciplinary background and proven leadership in product development from concept to certification.

Compensation & Benefits: Starting at $85,000 annually, with employer-matched retirement, 20 days vacation, health benefits, and professional development opportunities.

Employment Type: Full-time, 40 hours/week.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Lead design, development, and validation of HVAC and air-moving solutions.
2. Drive R&D in air dynamics for North American markets.
3. Establish and manage a research lab.
4. Collaborate with the parent company for knowledge sharing.
5. Manage engineering documentation, testing, prototyping, and production transition.
6. Provide technical leadership and mentorship.
7. Ensure compliance with standards and certifications.
8. Oversee project budgets and resource planning.
9. Maintain accurate documentation and collaborate with manufacturing teams.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 10+ years in HVAC and electromechanical product design.
• Knowledge of energy-efficient tech, safety standards (CEC, CSA, UL, ISO, etc.).
• Proficiency in CAD and analysis tools.
• Experience in certification processes and team leadership.

Preferred:

• Professional Engineer (P.Eng., PE) or eligibility.
• Project Management Certification (PMP, CAPM).
• Experience with ISO standards and environmental regulations.
