Senior Material Planner

We are seeking a skilled material planner within our automotive parts manufacturing division. This role is a key position in our supply chain management as well as co-ordinating with our customers.

Key Responsibilities :

• Receiving and tracking customer releases (through EDI or email releases)
• Negotiating with customers to find agreeable solutions regarding demand changes
• Working with an MRP system to determine component and FG requirements
• Issuing releases to suppliers
• Arranging shipments (land, sea, and air)
• BOM maintenance
• Coordinating inventory counts and reconciling
• Tracking shipments

Qualifications

• College / University education
• Experience working in a manufacturing plant (preferably automotive parts)
• Strong Excel and analytical skills
• Understanding of material planning, logistics, and purchasing
• Strong communication skills
• Negotiation skills are an asset

Position Reports to : Materials Manager

Working hours : 7 AM to 3:30 PM, flexible, occasional overtime

Wage : Based on skill / experience
