Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Senior Master Data Manager to join our team in Montreal, Quebec for a long-term contract engagement. This role is ideal for a data professional with 10+ years of experience in enterprise data management and a strong focus on hands-on implementation of MDM solutions.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in designing and executing end-to-end Master Data Management strategies, working closely with both technical teams and business stakeholders. You'll be joining a collaborative team of 5-7 members and will actively participate in client workshops, solution architecture discussions, and deployment planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead full-cycle MDM implementations, including solution design, configuration, deployment, and support
- Work hands-on with platforms such as Informatica MDM, SAP MDG, SAP ACP, or comparable tools
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of master data across enterprise systems
- Participate in client-facing workshops to gather requirements and translate them into scalable MDM solutions
- Develop and enforce data governance frameworks and best practices for data quality, consistency, and integrity
- Support the definition of data standards, metadata models, and stewardship processes
- Troubleshoot and resolve data management issues in collaboration with business and IT teams
- Deliver documentation, training materials, and handover packages for ongoing data operations
Must-Have Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in Master Data Management or related enterprise data roles
- Proven hands-on implementation experience with tools such as Informatica MDM, SAP Master Data Governance (MDG), SAP Advanced Compliance Reporting (ACP), or similar platforms
- Deep understanding of master data domains (customer, vendor, material, product, etc.)
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex ideas to both technical and business stakeholders
- Experience working with data governance and data quality frameworks
- Fluency in English and French is strongly preferred due to client-facing responsibilities in a bilingual environment
- Able to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team
