Job description

What you’ll do :

You will lead the department-specific strategic marketing initiatives focusing on growth and development opportunities that increase retail engagement and foster long-term sustainable growth.

You will lead and/or support new and current projects, programs, and campaigns (e.g., Propane Equalized Payment Program, Recertified and Cylinder Exchange Program, Fuel Team, Commercial Fuels Strategy).

  • With oversight from the Manager, you will develop propane marketing strategies that support the business plan (branches, local Co-ops, market growth opportunities, local Co-op needs).
  • You will lead the department’s Centralized Marketing Activities (Fill Early and Save, Switch and Save, and the Propane Big Deal filling plant promotion and Grain Drying) to achieve departmental goals as set out in the business plan.
  • You will oversee account administration activities for the department, including following up on credit applications, providing guidance on new accounts and pricing, and working with Finance and other business units to resolve accounts receivables issues and requests for invoices.
  • You will analyze and investigate current and past tender applications.
  • You will provide guidance and direction to the Petroleum Clerk to ensure they have sufficient information to accurately execute all components of the department’s price change process, including communication of changes to local Co-ops, regional team members, and end-use customers.

The Team : You will work closely with Home Office and Propane Branch Managers and report to the Senior Manager, Propane Marketing. This team strives to cultivate a culture of collaboration and support.

The Collaborators : You will work closely with other functions within our Fuel Team and collaborate across the organization with teams such as Marketing.

Who you are :

You are looking for a career in Sales & Marketing and :

  • You have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as business, commerce, or marketing.
  • You have a minimum of 6-9 years of relevant, progressively responsible experience in Marketing/Business with a solid understanding of business operations (a combination of relevant education and experience may suffice).
  • You’re familiar with and have experience in the energy service industry.
  • You have demonstrated interpersonal, communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • You’re honest and trustworthy, results-oriented, and strive for excellence in your work.
  • You believe in collaboration, building relationships, and valuing diverse perspectives.
