Position Summary

The Senior Marketing Manager oversees portfolio management by developing pricing strategies, product positioning, and performance claims, while also managing product life cycles.

This role includes crafting product messaging, conducting market research, coordinating tradeshow planning and sponsorship negotiations to boost brand visibility, and driving customer acquisition through consumer rebate programs and sampling strategies.

Additionally, the manager leads the brand plan process to align with business objectives, manages team performance, and integrates Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives into team goals and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Portfolio Management: Develop pricing strategies, product positioning, performance claims, and oversee life cycle management.
  • Messaging and Asset Development: Craft product messaging highlighting features and benefits; create promotional materials.
  • Market Insights and Research: Conduct studies and research to generate actionable market insights and monitor the competitive landscape.
  • Professional Marketing and Sponsorship Coordination: Manage tradeshow planning, negotiate sponsorships, and maintain relationships with industry associations to elevate brand visibility and support marketing initiatives.
  • Consumer Rebate and Sampling Strategy: Manage rebate programs and sampling initiatives to drive customer acquisition and product trials, ensuring alignment with overall marketing goals.
  • Brand Plan Process: Lead the development and execution of comprehensive brand plans that align with business objectives and market opportunities.
  • Manage other Managers, Supervisors, and/or individual contributors in a matrix environment, and be accountable for conducting effective performance management and meaningful career development conversations.
  • Integrate Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives into team goals and decision making.
Qualifications
  • A bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Minimum 8 years of progressive business experience, including marketing leadership, is required.
  • Experience in Vision Care/Consumer Medical Devices is ideal.
  • Demonstrated experience in strategy development and execution.
  • Extensive experience in business planning, project management, cross-functional collaboration, new product launches, and performance tracking is required.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional and senior management is required.
  • Strong relationship-building, collaboration, and communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to manage complexity and thrive in uncertain or ambiguous circumstances is required.
  • Up to 30% business travel may be required.
