Job summary

Sharp IT Consulting Inc in Toronto is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist with proven experience in leading manual testing and data reconciliation for large, business-critical systems. You will develop test plans, test cases and strategies and work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in executing testing-related activities and data reconciliation for large, complex, business-critical systems.
• Experience in developing test plans, test cases and expected test results for complex business systems.
• Experience in setting up test strategies for complex systems involving data, rules and images with high annual change.
• Experience in Accessibility testing aligned with AODA (WCAG2.0 AA) for web-based 3-tier platforms.
• Knowledge of testing tools and problem tracking software (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla, Micro Focus Product Suite).

Responsibilities

• Provides advice on testing strategy, test plans, tool selection, and resource needs for testing.
• Plans and organizes testing for large GUI and non-GUI environments, including SI tests, specialized tests, and user acceptance testing.
• Develops and executes test plans, scripts, and cases with project teams across analysis, design, development, and support.
• Executes functional, integration, system, and regression tests.
• Validates system behavior under varied conditions and tracks defects using ALM, Jira, Bugzilla, and Azure DevOps.
• Develops automated test scripts using UFT, Selenium, TestComplete, or Postman and integrates tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Conducts performance, stress, and load testing to ensure scalability.
• Ensures testing aligns with Accessibility regulations and standards.
• Collaborates with developers, business analysts, and managers to clarify requirements and ensure quality.
• Participates in Agile ceremonies and maintains detailed test documentation.
• Supports user manuals and release notes with testing insights.
