Job summary

The University of British Columbia invites applications for the position of Senior Manager, Academic Programs, Teaching and Learning at UBCO. The role leads development and renewal of curriculum and manages governance and quality assurance for academic programs.

Reporting to the Associate Provost, Academic Programs, Teaching and Learning, you will coordinate unit reviews, liaise with ministry stakeholders, and guide strategic initiatives across campuses to advance teaching excellence and

Qualifications

Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline.
Minimum of seven years of related experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Willingness to respect diverse perspectives, including perspectives in conflict with one’s own.
Demonstrates a commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in knowledge and practice.
Master’s degree in a relevant discipline.

Responsibilities

Manage and drive the development of strategic priority areas related to teaching, learning and academic programs.
Lead change to create a respectful working environment across all levels of management.
Coordinate unit reviews of academic units on behalf of the Provost's Office.
Advise senior leadership on projects and direction for academic programs and integrity initiatives.
Develop relationships with faculty, staff and external partners to advance teaching and learning priorities.
