Responsibilities

  • Lead multiple client-facing engagement teams responsible for completing tax engagements and preparing tax returns
  • Provide industry and technical expertise on taxation and assurance through client interactions, reports, and high-quality deliverables
  • Evaluate business processes and policies, advising on tax changes and developing proactive strategies to leverage business opportunities
  • Liaise with Canada Revenue Agency and provincial ministries on client issues
  • Prepare election forms for corporate reorganizations
  • Assist in managing personal and trust tax compliance seasons
  • Manage a portfolio of clients, understanding their business, risks, and ways to add value
  • Plan and schedule engagements, manage project financials, and ensure timely billing and collections
  • Maintain high-quality control and address issues relevant to clients’ financial reports
  • Network within the local business community, explore business development opportunities, and contribute to proposals
  • Contribute to strategic planning and practice development
  • Mentor and coach team members for professional growth
  • Maintain flexibility to travel as needed
