What is the opportunity?

We are seeking a strategic and experienced Senior Manager to join T&O Finance. This position will lead team wide initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency, productivity and consistency. This role is responsible for identifying high-impact opportunities, driving process optimization efforts and embedding a mindset of continuous improvement across the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of leading cross-functional teams, leveraging data for decision making and proven project management skills.

What will you do?

  • Lead end to end process improvement projects, from opportunity identification and scoping, through o implementation and post launch evaluation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze current state processes using Lean, Six Sigma, or other methodologies, identifying pain points and root causes of inefficiencies.
  • Deliver measurable results from the implemented process improvements by defining and monitoring performance metrics.
  • Engage and connect with internal centers of excellence, shared service teams and digital/technology partners to identify best practices, leverage internal expertise and integrate emerging tools and automation capabilities.
  • Facilitate workshops and sessions to gather stakeholder input, align priorities and build a commitment to change.
  • Build a culture of continuous improvement by mentoring team members, delivering training, and embedding practices across the organization.

What do you need to succeed?

Must Have

  • Proven experience in process improvement, business analysis or Finance transformation
  • Understanding of Finance process, such as FP&A, Allocations and Management Reporting
  • Experience with process documentation tools and reporting tools, such as Tableau
  • Proactive mindset and track record of working across functions
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong in Excel and PowerPoint

Nice-to-have

  • Professional designations (CPA/CFA/MBA)
  • Process improvement certifications, such as Lean Six Sigma (Green or higher)
  • Familiarity with SQL and Python
  • Strong understanding of the drivers of performance and outcome measures of RBC’s businesses
